I’m running 50 marathons in 50 days to raise funds for the homeless and people living in poverty
$50,000 dollars, 50 marathons, 50 days
I’m fundraising for Red Cross to help them reach more people in need, whether that be through helping homeless people with a place to feel safe, people living in poverty not having to wonder where their next meal will come from or elderly and isolated people to feel safe and connected
Every tuesday when I venture into the city for TAFE i always see homeless people doing it tough and sleeping rough, I ask if they need food, water or something warm to wear. Everyone of them have a story and some are the most beautiful people, everyone deserves to at-least have a roof over their head and food available.
I will be running 50 marathons in 50 days starting on the 31st of august and finishing on the 20th of october. This is a challenge on its own but i will be doing this while working an eight hour shift each and every monday to friday.
That is a challenge but i've never been in a position of complete helplessness and worry about how rough i'm going to sleep for the 3rd week in a row, or never been literally starving because of limited access to food, so its the least i could do.

Great cause, for most of my earlier life I felt that I was only ever one pay check away from being homeless. A friend of mine went through a rough patch. He than had all his tools stolen and couldn’t keep up with bills and life. He ended up being homeless for a few years. Good luck running and working at the same time. I wish I could give more !
