Busfire Relief Concert Volunteers

Change lives for the better appeal

I?m Raising Funds for the Australian Bush-fire Relief

I am a Year 10 academic and music scholarship student from the International School of Western Australia. I study cello with Rod McGrath and Xiaole Wu. I have recently attained my Associate in Music Diploma with distinction. I have been fortunate to be given the opportunity to perform in many public concerts in Perth and overseas: The Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019) and the Vienna Pop Orchestra (2017). (Please see link for my personal resume:?https://www.metsoperth.org/max-wung).

?

Currently, I am working on a Personal Project designed by the MYP (Middle Years Programme) to develop the student's personal interest and to apply skills in the real world. The project is to harness the student's unique interests and talents to promote benefits in their community. I plan to organize a public concert to raise funds for the relief of the Australian bush fires on the 21st?(students and parents concert) and the 23rd?(public concert) of February.

?

The concert on the 21st?will be held from 4-6 pm and the concert on the???23rd?will be held from 6-8 pm. The event?will include a concert with several performances from students of the International School as well as performances from myself and my piano trio. In addition, there will be a raffle draw, silent auction and refreshments provided.

?

My aim is to raise $10,000 to donate to the affected victims and wildlife through a donation split between the WIRES and the Red Cross Disaster Relief.?

?

Your efforts to join us in this fundraising event to donate to the devastated wildlife and victims of the Australian bush fires would certainly help in inciting greater interest among the music students to promote future fundraising events.
